ABOUT - 1993 Corvette ZR1

I’m honored that I finally get to be a part of the C4 ZR1 family. For years I have always gone out to the ZR1 websites to look at ZR1s for sale and see the great activity that people do with their ZR1s.  I have had a couple corvettes in my time a 1988 and a 1993 40th Anniversary Convertible.  I never thought I would fall into the category of most other Vette owners I once knew but I too sold my cars, had kids and here I am in my middle 40s owning another Corvette. But this one is very special to me. My 1993 Torch Red/Torch Red ZR1 is my dream car.  Even though I had other Corvettes there was always something special about this generation ZR1. The widebody rear end and the wide tires were such an attraction back in the day. To this day I can still remember my friend Rob Hill and I driving down from Westland, MI to Dearborn, MI to Les Stanford Chevrolet to take look at the 93 ZR1s that just came out. He and I were looking at black, red and even the dark green ZR1s that day. But the red always caught my eye. There was just something about the brightness of the that Torch Red. I couldn’t believe the window sticker said $67k to $71k. It was the most expensive window sticker I saw at that time. But I said one day I will have one of these and in August 2018 I was able to fulfill that dream.  Coming off selling another car from that era in early August from another car maker I won’t mention here (LOL) I made my way to the ZR1 Registry website to take a look at what was for sale. Although a bit out of my price range still,  I stayed patient and started watching all the online car sites. I finally came across this 93 ZR1 that was based in Des Moines, Iowa. From the standard Vette to the ZR1s I always liked how 93 was a 40th anniversary year for the Corvette and liked how it had 40th in the seats. I pulled the Carfax and it showed that from 2007 to 2018 only 5k miles were put on it. I really didn’t care what condition the outside was in as I love to cleanup and bring cars back to show quality. I wouldn’t call me a restorer but just someone who cares deeply in the history of cars and likes to keep things looking as nice as possible and another reason to have a brand called 1of1 Designs. The price was perfect and so I decided to buy it. The car has definitely seen better days as it looks like the previous owner may have lived on a dirt/rocky road. I have a HUGE cleanup task ahead of me under the hood, under the car and rock chips to fix in many places. The chrome wheels need to be refinished as they are weathered and the chrome is pitted.  However, the interior, besides the seats being worn in the normal places, looks perfect.  So over the last few months since buying the car I have been cleaning, restoring and putting my custom touches on the car. Thanks for letting me share my story and I look forward to meeting some of you at car shows next year.

ABOUT - 2015 Ford Edge

I have always loved the ROUSH line of cars and trucks. So when I started seeing all of these Hi Performance SUVs on the road from other car companies I decided to do some research and see what performance parts were available for the Ford Edge. I was surprised to see that a few aftermarket companies made parts for it. To list a couple, Rotora made Big Brakes, Livernois Motorsports did a tune, MRT did the exhaust and H&R did the lowering springs.  The rest of the design came from 1 off sellers.  The results speak for themselves. Now this is NOT A REAL ROUSH but what I think could be a great design if they were to come out with a STAGE 3 FORD EDGE SPORT. This SUV turns heads everywhere it goes. Sounds good and is very quick compared to stock engine tune.
